My goal is to change the world one student at a time

I am an Extragalactic Astronomer. I teach Astronomy and Physics at CUA in Washington DC. I do most of my research at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and at Johns Hopkins University. In my past time I write and hunt for fossils. I like anything older than 2 million years.

I have received the Diaspora Brazil Prize - Professional of the year 2013 .

I was selected by Época magazine as one of the 100 most influential people of Brazil in 2014.
